OnePlus 13 with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC Launching Today: What to Expect? How to Watch the Livestream?

The OnePlus 13 is set to make its debut in China later today. OnePlus's latest flagship smartphone will be powered by the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The OnePlus 13 is also set to make its debut in India in the coming months.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip won't be the only standout feature of the OnePlus 13 as it promises to offer a top-end LTPO OLED display, a large battery with both wired and wireless fast charging, a triple-camera setup co-tuned with Hasselblad, and the latest Android 15 software.

OnePlus 13 Launch Timeline

The OnePlus 13 launch in China is taking place later today at 04:00 pm local time or 01:30 pm IST. Following its launch in China, the OnePlus 13 could make its debut in India and globally in January 2025. Users can stream the OnePlus 13 launch live on the company's official Chinese website or Weibo handle.

To recall, the OnePlus 12 made its debut in China in December 2023, while the international debut came in January 2024. The open beta update for OxygenOS 15 has also started rolling out to the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R in India.

OnePlus 13 Specifications: What to Expect?

The OnePlus 13 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which reports suggests will be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The chip will be paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The handset is confirmed to pack a 6,000 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

The OnePlus 13 will likely sport a 6.82-inch 2K 10-bit LTPO OLED display by BOE. It will be called the X2 micro quad curved OLED display and will feature an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The screen has received a DisplayMate A++ rating, making it among the best in the industry.

OnePlus recently confirmed the phone would feature a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS support. The main camera will be paired with a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultrawide lens and a 50MP Sony LYT-600 telephoto-periscope shooter with OIS, an f/2.6 aperture, and 3x optical zoom. The cameras here are co-tuned with Hasselblad. Up front, the OnePlus 13 is expected to use a 32MP selfie camera.

The OnePlus 13 will run Android 15-based OxygenOS 15. The OnePlus 13 will also get an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water. The OnePlus 13 price in China is expected to start from CNY 4,499 (roughly Rs 53,200) for the base 12GB/256GB model.
