OnePlus has officially confirmed the OnePlus 13 will be unveiled on October 31. While the company has provided a sneak peek into its design and display features, many important details remain undisclosed.
However, we now know that the upcoming OnePlus flagship will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, a significant update following Qualcomm's recent announcement.

Performance Powerhouse with Next-Gen Chipset
The OnePlus 13 will be equipped with up to 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, setting it up to potentially be the first Android flagship offering this level of memory expansion. At the heart of its performance lies the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which promises to bring a noticeable boost to both power and efficiency.
OnePlus has also highlighted the introduction of a new chip-level technology called the Tidal Engine, developed in collaboration with the ColorOS 15 team, which will further optimize the performance of the chipset.
Dedicated Event for Performance Features
Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has scheduled a special event in China on October 23, where OnePlus China President Louis Lee will provide an in-depth look at the OnePlus 13's performance features. This event will focus on showcasing the benefits of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, with Lee already teasing significant advancements in both power and energy efficiency.
"The Snapdragon 8 Elite features a significant upgrade in performance and energy efficiency," Lee shared, building anticipation for the OnePlus 13's performance capabilities, especially for gaming.
Snapdragon 8 Elite: What's Under the Hood?
The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is built using TSMC's cutting-edge 3nm process and features a second-generation Oryon CPU. Its architecture includes two super cores clocked at 4.32GHz and six performance cores, all designed to deliver impressive power for mobile devices. Compared to its predecessor, the new chip offers a 45% improvement in energy efficiency, making it a significant leap forward in terms of mobile performance.
Design Details and Color Options
In addition to its performance, OnePlus has teased the OnePlus 13's design. The device will come in three sleek color options: black, white, and blue. The design refresh extends to a revamped rear panel and a micro-quad-curved BOE X2 OLED front panel, giving the phone a modern and refined look.
While these initial details hint at the phone's premium feel, more in-depth information about the OnePlus 13's design and features will likely emerge closer to the launch date.
