The OnePlus 15 is set to make its debut in India tomorrow as the first smartphone in the country to adopt the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Additionally, the OnePlus 15R will likely make its debut in India at a later date, it is expected to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 6.

The OnePlus 15 is launching in India at 07:00 pm IST tomorrow. Following its launch, the phone will go on sale in India through Amazon and OnePlus's website from 08:00 pm (IST). Those interested in watching the OnePlus 15 event live can do so on the company's official website or YouTube channel.

We expect the OnePlus 15 price in India to start from under Rs 75,000, with some reports suggesting the base 12GB/256GB model will cost Rs 72,999 without offers. To recall, last year's OnePlus 13 fetched a price tag of Rs 69,999 at the time of its launch.

The OnePlus 15 boasts a 6.78-inch BOE X3 8T LTPO flat display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 165Hz. It can reach peak brightness levels of up to 1800 nits. The device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC and an Adreno 840 GPU.

The smartphone offers configurations with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage options up to 512GB UFS 4.1. A robust battery capacity of 7300mAh powers the device, supporting wired charging speeds up to 120W and wireless charging speeds up to 50W. It operates on Android-based OxygenOS version 16.

Its camera setup includes three rear cameras: a primary camera with a resolution of 50MP featuring OIS, an ultrawide lens also at 50MP, and a periscope lens at the same resolution. For selfies, the OnePlus 15 has a front-facing camera with a resolution of 32MP capable of recording in 4K. The rear cameras support video recording in up to 8K resolution at a frame rate of 30 fps.

The OnePlus15 measures approximately 8.31 mm thick while weighing around 215 grams. It features an impressive IP66/68/69/69K rating for water and dust resistance. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi version 7, Bluetooth version 5.4, NFC capabilities, dual stereo speakers, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded within the display.
