OnePlus 15s Could Address 13s Shortcomings With Wireless Charging, Ultrawide Camera, and a Lower Price: Report

OnePlus may be preparing to revise its pricing approach with the upcoming OnePlus 15T. According to a leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, the company is expected to launch the device with a “more attractive price” than its predecessor, the OnePlus 13T.

That model launched in China for CNY 3,999 (roughly $470), and while it’s unclear if the 15T will cost less outright or simply offer better specs for the same price, the messaging is clear: OnePlus wants this to feel like a stronger value proposition.

India’s Mixed Reception of the 13T

In China, the OnePlus 13T performed well. But in India, where it launched as the OnePlus 13s (review), the reception was far more critical. At ₹54,999 for the base 12GB+256GB variant, many users felt the phone didn’t justify its price—citing a lack of wireless charging, an outdated USB 2.0 port, the mediocre IP65 water resistance rating, and the missing ultrawide camera.

These omissions were seen as major compromises in a segment where other brands were offering more complete hardware packages.

What the OnePlus 15T Is Expected to Offer

If the leaks are accurate, the OnePlus 15T is set to address several of the concerns raised with the 13T/13s. The phone is expected to retain its compact 6.3-inch display but come powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor. The battery may see a sizeable jump to 7,000mAh, a clear upgrade over the 13s’s 5,850mAh capacity in India, and is likely to support 80W wired charging alongside the addition of wireless charging.

Camera improvements are also anticipated. The 15T is rumored to bring a third lens, which could introduce the ultrawide camera to the compact lineup. This would put it more in line with competing phones in its class. The addition of a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor may further enhance the hardware experience, offering faster and more secure unlocking.

On the software front, the 15T is expected to launch with OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16, potentially featuring deeper AI integration and smarter system-level enhancements.

How Competitive Will It Be in India?

Globally, the OnePlus 15T is being positioned against compact premium phones like the Samsung Galaxy S26 and Xiaomi 16, with some reports suggesting a launch price around $600.

But the bigger question remains whether the Chinese brand will reflect this pricing adjustment in India. With the 13s still retailing at ₹54,999, a sub-₹55,000 price point for the 15T—combined with tangible hardware improvements—could make it far more competitive in a crowded space where Xiaomi, Vivo, iQOO, and many more brands are aggressively vying for attention.
