OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition soon to be a reality; UK launch tipped
OnePlus 6 soon to have an Avengers-themed edition.
OnePlus was earlier rumored to collaborate with Marvel to bring the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 edition. Well, this might soon turn into reality. According to a report by Deadline, the upcoming OnePlus 6 will have an Avengers Infinity War Edition that will pack an 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage and will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC.
The report also suggests that the new edition will be available for the UK market sometime this year. Although there's no confirmation of the launch date of the device, it is expected to land sometime around the movie's release which is due on April 27.
This isn't the first time, we have seen reports surrounding the Avengers-themed OnePlus 6. Earlier, a video surfaced online that showed intercuts between the OnePlus and Avengers logo, and also showed the release date of the upcoming Avengers movie.
It is still unclear whether the device will make it to the Indian market, but since the Star Wars edition was available for the Indian consumers, the Avengers themed-device might also hit the subcontinent shores.
As far as the device is concerned, a lot of rumors have been floating around. The smartphone is said to sport a 6.28-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2,280×1,080 pixel resolution and will be powered by the zippy Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It will be backed by 8GB of RAM and will offer 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options.
On the photography front, the smartphone will boast the same vertically housed dual camera setup comprising of a 20MP and 16MP sensor, but there's no word on the front camera of the phone. A 3,450mAh battery will fuel the device and will support company's Dash fast charging functionality.
The device will also feature an iPhone X-like notch. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently shared the first official image of the notch, which wasn't taken very well by the fans. Later the company confirmed that it will release a software update that will allow users to hide the notch. A new feature will blacken either side of the notch to make it look like a conventional display.
