OnePlus Ace 5V Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch: Could Debut as the OnePlus Nord 5 in India

The OnePlus Ace 5V is anticipated to succeed the OnePlus Ace 3V, which debuted in China in March 2024. Although the company has not confirmed its name, rumours about the phone's specifications have surfaced. A tipster has shared key details about this upcoming device. Last month, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro and OnePlus Ace 5 in China, both featuring Snapdragon 8 Elite SoCs.

According to a Weibo post by tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 5V might be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9350 SoC. This chipset could be named "Dimensity 9300++," offering enhancements and better power efficiency compared to the current MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset. The new SoC is expected to compete directly with rumoured Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset.

OnePlus Ace 5V Specifications Leaked

The rumoured OnePlus Ace 5V is expected to feature a flat display with a resolution of 1.5K and slim bezels. It may house a battery with a capacity of at least 7,000mAh, which would be a significant improvement over the OnePlus Ace 3V's 5,500mAh battery. The previous model included a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC and an AMOLED display with full-HD+ resolution.

More information about the OnePlus Ace 5V is likely to emerge online in the coming weeks. The OnePlus Ace 3V was launched with Android 14-based ColorOS 14 at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It features a dual rear camera setup with a primary sensor of 50 megapixels and a front-facing camera of 16 megapixels.

OnePlus Global Market Strategy

The OnePlus Ace series has seen variations in different markets. The OnePlus Ace 3V was released as the OnePlus Nord 4 in India and other international regions with some modifications. Consequently, it is plausible that the speculated Ace 5V might be introduced outside China as the OnePlus Nord 5.

The previous model supports fast charging through its wired SuperVOOC technology at up to 100W and includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. These features highlight its competitive edge in terms of charging speed and biometric security. The design renders for another upcoming model, the OnePlus 13R, have leaked ahead of its launch on January 7.
