OnePlus One OxygenOS 2.1.4 update brings new camera modes, app permissions and more

OnePlus One just received the OxygenOS 2.1.4 update. The OnePlus is An Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based phone.

The new Oxygen OS 2.1.4 update wll bring new camera support that includes slow motion and clear image, new ringtones and a lot more.The new update does not carry certain features that were to be a part of the final update. Some features like the MaxxAudio propreitery sound technology along with relevant applications, screen temperature slider, manual camera mode, RAW file format capability among others did not make it to the final edit of the update as they were dropped in the end.

The new OnePlus One OxygenOS 2.1.4 includes an upgrade to Android Lollipop 5.1.1. It includes a OnePlus launcher with Shelf. The new update will bring a OnePlus Camera that includes support for Clear image, Slow motion video,Time-lapse video, Beauty mode filter,Dark mode and LED customisation.

It also includes full gestures and buttons customisation. The new update also significantly brings App permissions. It also brings ambient display and proximity wake.There are new OnePlus ringtones to the new update with an added support for Swiftkey. Significantly the new update brings security patches from Google.

The OxygenOs 2.1.4 update for the OnePlus One is not an OTA update, the update has to be downloaded the zip file and will have to process the update manually.The OnePlus update has to be downloaded from the OnePlus Forum.However, users who are manually updating their OnePlus devices must be ready to be faced with the consequences of wiping out all the phone data.
