OnePlus Will Replace Your Faulty OnePlus 13 or 13R for Free, but There’s a Catch

OnePlus has introduced its latest flagship smartphones, the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 13R, in India. Alongside the launch, the company announced a free 180-day phone replacement program, a part of its "Project Starlight" initiative.

What's the 180-Day Replacement Plan?

If you buy the OnePlus 13 or OnePlus 13R between January 10 and February 13, 2025, you're eligible for a one-time free phone replacement within 180 days of purchase if you encounter hardware issues. The plan covers key components such as the screen, battery, motherboard, and back cover. Instead of repairs, OnePlus promises a replacement device-no questions asked.

After February 13, the replacement program will be available as an optional add-on, priced at ₹2,599 for the OnePlus 13 and ₹2,299 for the OnePlus 13R. This extends the replacement period by an additional three months. To claim the service, users need to visit an authorized OnePlus service center. However, the program excludes software problems, accidental damage, cosmetic issues, and devices repaired by third parties.

OnePlus 13 and 13R: Features and Pricing

The OnePlus 13, the flagship model, packs top-notch hardware. It's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and features a 6.82-inch 2K AMOLED display, 6000mAh battery, and 100W fast charging. Pricing starts at ₹69,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model, ₹76,999 for the 16GB/512GB variant, and ₹89,999 for the top-tier 24GB/1TB version. The OnePlus 13 will be available from January 10 via Amazon, the OnePlus store, and other retail partners.

The OnePlus 13R offers a more affordable alternative with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 6.77-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, and 80W fast charging. It starts at ₹42,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant and ₹49,999 for the 16GB/512GB model. Sales for the OnePlus 13R begin on January 13.
