Oppo F7 was launched in India late last month for Rs. 21,990, and it went on open sale from April 9. The company has now launched a new variant of the smartphone; Oppo F7 Diamond Black Special Edition. Priced at Rs. 26,990, it will be available for sale via Flipkart, Amazon, Paytm as well as offline retail stores starting from April 21.
The Oppo F7 Diamond Black Special Edition sports a multi-layered metallic and glass back cover that gives off a diamond-like glow and light refractions. The smartphone's body has triangular-cut patterns that shimmer bright and reflect different colors when seen from different angles. Besides this, the smartphone also offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space.
Other specifications on the smartphone are the same as the regular Oppo F7. The Oppo F7 comes with a 6.23-inch 6.23-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD display with the aspect ratio of 19:9. Notably, it is one of the first smartphones in India to sport a display notch.
Under the hood, the smartphone makes use of an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek Helio P60 processor. One of the key highlights of the Oppo F7 is its cameras. The handset flaunts a 25MP selfie camera that uses Sony's 576 sensor. The selfie camera has an aperture size of f/2.0 and it supports real-time HDR technology.
At the rear, the smartphone is equipped with a 16MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture and AI scene recognition features. This flagship device from Oppo also comes with Face Unlock feature.
Connectivity features onboard include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and GPS/ A-GPS. There are sensors like accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor. The Oppo F7 also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The smartphone is backed by 3,400mAh battery rated to deliver up to 33.5 hours of music playback. As for software, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with ColorOS 5.0 on top.
