Oppo Find X7 Series Launching Today in China: Check Price, Specs

The Oppo Find X7 series will launch today, January 8th, at 2:30 PM China time (12:00 PM Indian Standard Time). These highly anticipated flagship smartphones promise cutting-edge specifications and features, marking Oppo's latest foray into the premium device market.

On the front, the Find X7 Ultra boasts a towering 6.82-inch LTPO BOE 8T OLED display, featuring 2K resolution, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. Similarly, the base Find X7 flaunts a 6.78-inch LTPO BOE 8T OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and a variable 120Hz refresh rate.

Both models sport a center-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera and curved edges on the sides with rounded corners. Optimizations for high frame rates promise a smoother gaming experience, while 3Pulse/1Pulse DC dimming enhances brightness.

Design

A recent hands-on video provided an in-depth look at the four variants of the Find X7: Sea and Sky, Desert Moon Silver, Smokey Purple, and Starry Sky Black. The latter two showcase a glass panel on the rear with a large circular camera module, while the former two boast a dual-tone design complemented by a leather finish on the lower half.

The Find X7 Ultra retains this design aesthetic, with variants like Desert Moon and Sea and Sky, maintaining the overall look. The Pine Shadow Ink option is particularly eye-catching, with its glass panel and Hasselblad-branded circular camera module. Additionally, there are rumors that the Find X7 Ultra will have a three-stage alert slider.

Performance

Under the hood, the vanilla Find X7 packs a punch with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. The Ultra, on the other hand, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip with the same RAM and storage configurations. Both devices are expected to house a robust 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging capability. Additionally, the Find X7 Ultra may offer 50W wireless fast charging.

A noteworthy inclusion in the lineup is the Find X7 Ultra Satellite Communication version, featuring two-way satellite communication capabilities. Running on the Android 14 OS with ColorOS 14 custom skin, these smartphones boast NFC, WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

Cameras

The Find X7 sports a triple-camera setup, while the Find X7 Ultra boasts a
quad-camera setup on the rear. The vanilla model features a 50-megapixel LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with OIS and 3x optical zoom.

The Find X7 Ultra is the first smartphone to feature a 1-inch Sony LYT-900 50-megapixel camera as its primary sensor. It also boasts the world's first dual periscope telephoto lenses, which include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor with 3x optical zoom and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensor with 6x optical zoom. The Ultra also has a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 ultra-wide-angle lens. The entire Find X7 series is expected to have a 32-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and video calls.

Pricing and Launch

Although the Find X7 is rumored to have a starting price of 3,999 Yuan (about 465 US dollars) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option, the Find X7 Ultra's pricing has yet to be announced.
