Oppo Find X9 Ultra Global Launch Date Confirmed for April 21: OPPO Find X9s Pro Will Tag Along

OPPO has confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra will debut globally on 21 April, alongside its China launch, as part of the wider Find X9 series rollout. The company will also reveal the OPPO Find X9s Pro in China on the same date, positioning both as flagship camera-focused smartphones.

The news comes only a few days after the OPPO Find X9 Ultra was spotted on India's BIS certification website. It also comes less than a day after Vivo announced its top-of-the-line X300 Ultra smartphone in China, which is said to be the Find X9 Ultra's primary rival.

OPPO Find X9 Ultra Camera Details

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra had earlier been teased with a new Hasselblad-branded 50MP 10x optical telephoto lens. OPPO says this design addresses physical limits that usually keep premium smartphones at 4x or 5x optical zoom. Tipster @DigitalChatStation has outlined a detailed camera array for the Find X9 Ultra.

According to the same reports, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra combines a 200MP LYT901 primary sensor, a 50MP JNL 10x periscope telephoto unit, a 200MP 3x periscope telephoto lens that claims 136% higher light intake, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera using an updated 1/2″ mid-sized sensor for broader coverage.

The OPPO Find X9s Pro camera setup is described as allowing easy zooming and cropping for wide landscapes and telephoto close-ups, and is referred to as a "true travel photography marvel".

OPPO Find X9 Ultra Specifications

Leaked specifications suggest that the OPPO Find X9 Ultra targets users who want strong performance and long battery life. The phone is expected to run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, combined with up to 16GB of RAM, which should support demanding apps, gaming, and multitasking.

The battery on the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is tipped to be a large 7,050mAh unit. Support for 80W fast charging is also expected. This combination should allow longer usage between charges, while still letting users recharge the device quickly when needed, especially during heavy daily usage.

On storage, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is rumoured to offer options up to 1TB. These higher capacities are aimed at people who store many photos, videos, and apps locally. It removes the need to clear space often, which can be important for users recording 4K or 8K footage. Alongside the smartphones, OPPO will introduce the OPPO Pad Mini tablet and the OPPO Enco Clip2 open-ear headset in China.
