OPPO Reno 16 Pro, Reno 16 Pro Mini Design Leaked Ahead of Launch: Flat Sides, New Camera Layout, Plus Key

A leaked image believed to show the upcoming OPPO Reno 16 Pro and Reno 16 Pro Mini has surfaced online, giving an early look at what may be a redesigned Reno series for 2026.

The image, shared by tipster Debayan Roy, reportedly shows an EVT prototype unit without branding. Even so, the hardware design is noticeably different from the current Reno 15 Pro Mini.

New Camera Layout Stands Out

The biggest visible change is the rear camera module.

Instead of the softer rectangular camera island used on the Reno 15 Pro Mini, the Reno 16 Pro series appears to adopt a more vertical and geometric layout. Two larger sensors sit inside a pill-shaped module, while another circular lens and LED flash are placed separately beside it.

The setup looks visually closer to recent OnePlus designs than older Reno phones.

Flat side rails are still present, suggesting OPPO is sticking with its current hardware approach instead of returning to curved frames. The white finish on the prototype also appears more muted compared to the champagne-style finish seen on the Reno 15 Pro Mini.

Since this is an internal testing unit, the final retail design could still change slightly before launch.

Plus Key Could Arrive on Reno Phones

The leak also hints at the arrival of the Plus Key, a shortcut-style hardware button previously seen on some OnePlus devices.

The button is generally used for quick AI tools, camera shortcuts, or custom actions.

India Launch Tipped for July or August

The Reno 16 series is expected to launch in India around July or August, according to the leak. Earlier reports have suggested a China debut may happen sometime in June.

OPPO hasn’t officially confirmed the lineup yet, so specifications remain unverified for now.

The current Reno 15 Pro Mini starts at ₹59,999 in India and features a 6.32-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, Dimensity 8450 chipset, 200MP primary camera, and a 6,200mAh battery with 80W charging.

For now, the leak mainly points toward a visual refresh rather than major confirmed hardware upgrades.
