Oppo Reno 9A launched with Snapdragon 695 SoC, 90Hz AMOLED Display, IPX8 Rating

Oppo recently announced a new Reno smartphone in Japan. The Oppo Reno 9A is the latest smartphone in the Reno series to appear outside China. It is worth noting that Oppo has already unveiled the Reno 10 series in China.

While the Oppo Reno 10 series is expected to make its global debut in the coming weeks, the Reno 9 series wasn't released internationally. Moreover, the Oppo Reno 9A wasn't included in the original line-up that was unveiled in China back in December 2022.

Oppo Reno 9A Price

The Oppo Reno 9A price in Japan is set at 40,656 yen (roughly Rs 23,800) for the sole 8GB/128GB variant. The Reno 9A arrives in Night Black and Moon White colour options.

Oppo has not confirmed any details about the Reno 9A outside Japan yet, although this model appears to be exclusive to the Japanese market. However, the Oppo Reno 10 series is expected to get its global debut soon.

Oppo Reno 9A Specifications

The Oppo Reno 9A will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The phone also comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that is expandable via a microSD card. The Reno 9A runs Android 13 out of the box with ColorOS 13 on top.

The Oppo Reno 9A sports a 6.74-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a pixel density of 409 PPI. The screen also boasts a 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The Oppo Reno 9A packs a 4,500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

For optics, the Reno 9A gets a triple-camera setup with a 48 MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture, an 8 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, there's a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The Reno 9A also features an in-display fingerprint reader and an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
