OPPO Reveals Official Renders of Find X8 Ultra and X8s Series Ahead of Launch

OPPO has confirmed an April 10 launch event for its upcoming Find X8 series in China, and ahead of the big day, the company has released official renders of all three phones: the Find X8 Ultra, Find X8s, and Find X8s+. While the visuals offer a clear look at the design direction, most of the hardware specs are still unofficial and based on leaks and reports.

That said, if the rumored specs are anything to go by, this year’s Find X8 lineup will span the full range—from flagship hardware to sleek mid-premium alternatives.

Find X8 Ultra: Flat Display, Dual Periscope Cameras, and Satellite Support

Let’s start with the flagship. The Find X8 Ultra, as seen in the renders, features a flat display (a change from the curved panels on previous Ultras) and a large rectangular camera bump housing two periscope telephoto lenses—a rare move even in the high-end Android space. The phone is shown in three color variants: Moonlight White, Morning Light, and Hoshino Black.

While OPPO hasn’t confirmed the specs, rumors suggest the Ultra will feature a 6.82-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED LTPO panel with Dolby Vision and PWM dimming. It’s expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 (Elite)—the latest 3nm chip from the company—paired with the Adreno 830 GPU.

Camera leaks point to a 50MP Sony LYT-900 main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide, and two separate periscope cameras (3X and 6X optical zoom), capable of up to 120X digital zoom. OPPO’s ongoing collaboration with Hasselblad is expected to continue for portrait imaging.

Other rumored highlights include satellite communication, IP68/IP69 protection, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a large 6100mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Storage options may go up to 1TB, alongside 12GB or 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

Find X8s and X8s+: Light, Slim, and MediaTek-Powered

On the design front, the Find X8s looks to be OPPO’s most refined offering in terms of form factor. The company confirmed the bezels on the device are just 1.25mm on all sides, and the body is 7.73mm thick, weighing just 179g. Even with that slim profile, it reportedly houses a 5700mAh battery. The larger X8s+ may push that to 6000mAh.

Instead of a Snapdragon chip, these two phones are rumored to run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ SoC, another new 3nm processor. Displays are expected to range between 6.3 and 6.59 inches, with AMOLED panels offering 120Hz adaptive refresh, Dolby Vision, and up to 4500 nits peak brightness.

Leaks suggest both phones will feature a triple-camera setup similar to the Ultra: a 50MP main sensor, 50MP ultra-wide, and a 50MP 3X periscope telephoto lens, again with Hasselblad tuning. A 32MP selfie camera, in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, and 80W wired / 50W wireless charging round out the expected features.

A Strategy That Covers Multiple Tiers

With the Find X8 series, OPPO seems to be segmenting its audience more clearly than before. The Find X8 Ultra is shaping up to be a no-compromise flagship for power users and photography enthusiasts, while the X8s and X8s+ aim to deliver premium design and battery life in a lighter, more accessible form factor—especially for users who don’t need satellite connectivity or top-end camera sensors.

We’ll know soon enough how the actual specs compare with the rumors. OPPO is expected to reveal all the technical details, pricing, and availability during its official event on April 10.
