OriginOS 6 Beta Rollout Timeline Revealed for Vivo Phones in India

Vivo already confirmed the arrival of OriginOS 6 in India - its next-generation Android skin that will replace Funtouch OS. The Android 16-based interface is scheduled for a global launch, including India, on October 15, just a few days after its official debut in China.

The company has also opened registrations for the OriginOS 6 Preview Program; however, the official rollout date for the beta update to registered participants is yet to be announced. Now, the timeline for when the beta update will begin rolling out has been revealed.

A Vivo India representative says that ''a Telegram group will be ready by October 13, which will include all shortlisted users.'' Furthermore, the representative mentions that the OriginOS 6 beta rollout will begin on October 15 and continue until November 6.

Vivo's OriginOS 6 is claimed to be the smoothest and smartest Android skin yet. Built on Android 16, the update focuses on cleaner visuals, new customization tools, and AI-driven features. It will include Transparent themes, dynamic lighting on the lock screen, new color palette system that blends UI elements into wallpapers, AI Eraser upgrades, and much more.

The OriginOS 6 Preview Program is already live for Vivo X200 Pro devices. Rumors suggest that even after the official launch, the update may initially roll out only to Vivo's X series, leaving the A, Y, T, and V series phone users to wait longer.
