Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Specs Leak Ahead of Launch: Slimmer Design, IP68 Rating, 1TB Option, and More
Google’s upcoming foldable—the Pixel 10 Pro Fold—has leaked ahead of its official reveal, and while the overall formula doesn’t seem to be changing much, the refinements suggest Google is quietly fixing what didn’t quite click in its earlier foldable attempt.
The device is expected to launch alongside the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro at the “Made by Google” event on August 20, 2025.

Bigger Outer Display, Brighter Panels
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is tipped to retain the same 8-inch inner folding display—an LTPO OLED with QHD+ resolution and 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate. But the outer screen is getting a subtle yet meaningful upgrade. It now reportedly measures 6.4 inches, slightly larger than last year’s model, and it can hit a peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. That’s an important boost for outdoor visibility.
The outer panel is also expected to support 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, keeping it in line with flagship durability standards.
Refinements
While the display upgrades are welcome, the overall design philosophy here appears to be evolutionary. Google is said to be slimming down the hinge, making the device thinner and more comfortable to hold.
An IP68 rating is also expected, finally bringing the foldable into full water resistant territory.
Internal Hardware: Tensor G5, Bigger Battery, and More Storage
Inside, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will run on the Tensor G5 chip, Google’s next-gen custom silicon, paired with the Titan M2 security chip. Expect 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Android 16 will come preinstalled, and connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB 3.2 via Type-C.
Battery capacity gets a bump to 5,015mAh, up from the Pixel Fold’s 4,821mAh, along with support for 23W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Cameras Stay Familiar, Sensors Get an Upgrade
The camera setup remains largely the same in structure but sees sensor improvements across the board. The main 50MP shooter reportedly uses Samsung’s GN8 sensor, with OIS and 10-bit HDR recording. The ultrawide and telephoto sensors are upgraded Samsung 3J1 units, with the telephoto lens supporting 5x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom.
Both the front and inner selfie cameras are said to be 10.5MP units capable of 4K 60fps video, along with face unlock support.
Pricing and Availability
Google is expected to retain the same pricing structure as last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold for the 256GB and 512GB models. The 1TB version, however, is new and notably expensive.
