Poco F5 launch in India to take place soon, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC officially confirmed
The Poco F5 India launch is set to take place soon. However, ahead of its launch, Qualcomm has confirmed that the Poco F5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. Himanshu Tandon, Country Head at Poco India also took to Twitter to confirm the new Snapdragon 7 series chip powering the Poco F5.
Tandon's tweet notes; "The most powerful POCO Smartphone ever! Brace yourselves for the all new #POCOF5, the indisputable king of the segment." The tweet all-but confirms that the launch of the Poco F5 is taking place in India as early as next month.
Poco F5 Performance Capabilities
Compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 will offer a 50 percent increase in overall performance, 13 percent improved power efficiency, and twice the AI performance. It is worth noting that the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC is built on TSMC's 4nm process.

Tandon previously noted that the next Poco phone, the Poco F5, would come in two memory configurations: 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB. The Poco F5 was also recently spotted on Geekbench with a single-core score of 1118 points and a multi-core score of 4236 points. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 also uses the Adreno 725 GPU.
Poco F5 Expected Specifications (Expected)
Apart from the chip, the Poco F5 will also feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits of peak brightness. The phone will pack a 5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. It will use LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The handset will boot Android 13 OS out of the box with MIUI software skin on top.

For optics, the phone could get a triple-camera setup on the back with a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2 MP macro unit. On the front, the phone will feature a 16 MP selfie camera. We believe the Poco F5 price in India could fall anywhere between Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000.
