Realme 16 5G Launch and Price in India
The Realme 16 5G is launching in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Realme will likely unveil the device through soft launch through Flipkart and realme.com. The Realme 16 5G price in India is expected to start from Rs 31,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model.
Realme 16 5G Specifications: What to Expect
The Realme 16 5G features a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with several brightness and touch upgrades. Realme lists a 4,200 nits peak brightness, 2,160Hz PWM dimming, and a 3,000Hz instantaneous sampling rate. The handset measures 8.1mm thick, weighs 183 grams, and carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
On the audio side, the Realme 16 5G will include stereo speakers. Realme claims a "300% volume" boost for the speakers, aimed at media and gaming use. These hardware features, combined with the AMOLED panel, position the phone for entertainment-heavy usage in daily life.
Realme has not yet confirmed the chipset name for the Indian Realme 16 5G model. However, the global variant uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 SoC. To manage heat, Realme has announced a 6,050mm2 "Airflow" VC cooling area inside the phone for thermal control.

The Realme 16 5G will run Android 16 with Realme UI 7.0 out of the box. Realme promises three major OS updates and four years of security patches. The smartphone includes a 7,000mAh silicon carbon battery paired with 60W wired fast charging. Realme is also offering six-year fluency protection.
Realme 16 5G Cameras
For imaging, the Realme 16 5G offers a 50MP primary Sony sensor with OIS on the back. A secondary rear lens is present, although Realme has not yet revealed its exact specifications. The phone's camera cluster sits in what Realme calls the "industry's first camera bar with a selfie mirror".
The Realme 16 5G also carries a 50MP front camera dedicated to selfies and video calls. This pairing of high-resolution sensors on both sides suggests Realme is targeting users who prioritise social media content, video chats and detailed photos, alongside the large battery and display features.
