Realme 17 Pro Plus Camera Specifications Tipped Ahead of Launch: Here’s What to Expect

The Realme 16 Pro Plus made its debut in India back in January, bringing back the triple-camera setup from the Realme 14 Pro+. Now, Realme is preparing to unveil the next smartphone in its 'Number' series.

A recent leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, obtained via Gizmochina, has given us insight into the upcoming Realme 17 Pro+. The post on Weibo gives us inside information about the camera hardware on the Realme 17 Pro Plus.

Realme 17 Pro Plus Camera Hardware

According to the post, the Realme 17 Pro Plus will feature a 200MP Samsung HP5 primary sensor. Moreover, the main camera will be paired with a 50MP Samsung JN5 periscope-telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom.

To recall, these sensors are already present in the Realme 16 Pro+, so if these reports are accurate, then the Realme 17 Pro Plus isn't likely to get a major camera upgrade over its predecessor. Additionally, the Realme 17 Pro Plus could also feature a third ultrawide camera with an 8MP sensor.

Realme 17 Pro Series Launch: What to Expect

While the tipster doesn't mention the phone in question, his posts strongly suggest it is indeed the Realme 17 Pro+. Additionally, the post also mentions that the Realme 17 Pro series will make its debut in the second half of 2026, suggesting a launch date sometime in July or August.

Realme tends to launch two generations of 'Number' series smartphones twice every year. Last year, the Realme 15 series made their debut in India in July.
