Realme Announces Extended Updates for Realme 15 & 14 Line-up as well as Future Number Series Smartphones
The Realme 15 series recently made its debut in India, introducing two new smartphones to the fray, including the Realme 15 and Realme 15 Pro. While our overall assessment of the Realme 15 Pro (Review) was generally positive, the one major critique was the sub-par software support.
However, Realme was quick to address those concerns. Realme Head of Product Marketing Francis Wong confirmed that five Realme 'Number' series phones are getting an additional year of software and security updates.

Realme's New Software Update Policy
The Realme 15, 15 Pro, 14 Pro+, 14 Pro, and Realme 14T will upgrade to the 3+4 policy, which translates to three Android OS updates and four years of regular security patches. In a post on X Wong confirmed that the 3+4 policy will be the norm for all future 'Number Pro, Number, and Number T product lines.
This is a notable move, as it brings Realme closer to competing with rivals like Samsung and Nothing, which have been offering longer support cycles in recent years.
Realme's latest software policy makes the Realme 15 and 14 series more appealing, considering their already impressive hardware, including high-res cameras, capable chipsets, big batteries, and fast charging. Wong also mentioned that he would share some interesting news surrounding the Realme P series soon.
Upcoming Realme P Series
A landing page for new Realme P series smartphones recently appeared on Flipkart. According to reports, the company is unveiling the Realme P4 Pro in India this month, possibly targeting the mid-range gaming segment.
While Realme's software commitment may not be segment-leading, it is still a significant step forward, signalling the brand's intent to build stronger long-term trust with its users.
