Realme Demonstrates 240W Fast Charging With Realme GT 3 Ahead of MWC Launch

Realme will host a launch event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 28, unveiling the Realme GT 3. Ahead of the smartphone's launch, Realme has demonstrated the capabilities of the 240W charger, giving a glimpse of the speed at which it can charge its smartphones.

Quite expectedly, the charger can top up the battery to full charge in under 10 minutes. The smartphone will be the first to bring 240W fast charging in markets outside China, giving Realme the first dibs on the technology among other BBK brands.

Realme Showcases 240W Fast Charging Speed

The Realme GT 3 will be the first to sport 240W fast charging out-of-the-box. The 240W charging brick can top up the Realme GT 3 to full charge in just 9 minutes and 30 seconds. Astonishingly, thanks to the charger, the smartphone charges up to 20% in just 80 seconds. The company posted a video demonstrating the same.

That said, this is not the first time that Realme has showcased the charging speed. Realme has launched the Realme GT Neo 5 in China with the same charging technology. The company claims it is the world's fastest charging technology. The global variant of the Realme GT 3 will likely be a rebranded version of the Realme GT Neo 5.

Realme GT 3 Specifications and Features

If it is the rebranded Realme GT Neo 5, the rest of the hardware under the hood will also be top-notch. The Reame GT 3 could come with a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. The display will also up the ante in terms of smoothness with a 144Hz refresh rate, compared to 120Hz in most smartphones.

The Realme GT 3 will likely have a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, the smartphone could come with a 16MP camera for selfies.

Under the hood, the Realme GT 3 will likely come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC paired with 12GB RAM or 16GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. The smartphone's highlight is the 240W fast charging, which will top up a 4,600mAh battery.
