Realme GT 5 key specifications confirmed ahead of August 28 Launch

Realme recently confirmed the launch of the Realme GT 5 smartphone in China. The teaser shared by the brand reveals that Realme will launch the smartphone on August 28 in the world's smartphone market.

The company confirmed details about the chipset of the smartphone in a previous teaser. Realme also revealed the RAM, storage, and charging specifications in recent teasers.

However, a new teaser video shared by the brand reveals the design of the upcoming device and its battery capacity. According to the teaser, the upcoming Realme GT 5 will pack a 5240 mAh battery. The Realme GT 5 is expected to feature 240W and 150W fast charging support, although the 5240 mAh battery will be used on the latter variant.

The Realme GT 5 with 240W charging will likely pack a smaller battery, with reports claiming the capacity to be 4,600 mAh. Realme also added that the 240W model will have an independent SUPERVOOC S chipset. The chipset will improve the battery efficiency of the device.

Realme previously confirmed that the GT 5 would be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Moreover, the chip will be paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Realme has also confirmed the presence of an independent X7 display chip.

Realme GT 5 Design

The Realme GT 5 is seen in a silver colour option with a large rectangular camera island that encompasses the entire width of the back panel. The island houses two camera modules with three lenses, an LED Flash, and an RGB LED light strip that looks similar to the Realme GT Neo 5.

Realme GT 5 Specifications (Expected)

The Realme GT 5 is expected to feature a 6.74-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2160PWM dimming. For optics, the Realme GT 5 will feature a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Sony IMX890 primary sensor with OIS.

The main camera is expected to be paired with an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, you can expect a 16 MP selfie camera. Lastly, the Realme GT 5 will run Android 13-base Realme UI 4.0 out of the box.
