Realme GT Neo 5 With 240W Fast Charging Launched

The Realme GT Neo 5 has launched in China. The device features 240W fast charging, which is the fastest charging rate supported by a smartphone. The GT Neo 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and sports a 6.74-inch AMOLED screen.

The Realme GT Neo 5 sports an interesting design at the rear, with a transparent window and LED lighting at the right-hand side of the camera island. The LED lights are customizable and you get to choose from 25 colors and five speed settings. The RGB LED light acts as a notification light for messages, calls, and apps.

The Realme GT Neo 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. The smartphone has two versions, wherein one model supports 240W fast charging while the second variant supports 150W charging. The 240W model features 16GB RAM with 256GB or 1TB storage options. Meanwhile, the 150W model supports 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB RAM options with 256GB storage.

When it comes to the battery, the 240W version features a 4,600mAh battery unit. Realme claims that the smartphone offers 2 hours of talk time with a quick 30-second charge. The device can reportedly fully charge in an astonishing 9 minutes. On the other hand, the 150W version packs a slightly bigger 5,000mAh battery which can purportedly fully charge in 16 minutes.

Coming to the imaging capabilities, the Realme GT Neo 5 flaunts a triple camera setup. The smartphone has a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS. It is accompanied by a secondary 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2MP macro lens.

The Realme GT Neo 5 sports a 6.7-inch 1.5K AMOLED display. The screen has a refresh rate of 144Hz, resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels, and peak brightness of up to 1400 nits.

The smartphone features Dolby Atmos dual speakers and supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. The device runs Android 13 out of the box with a layer of Realme UI 4.0 on top.

Realme GT Neo 5: Price, Availability

The Realme GT Neo 5 150W is priced at CNY 2,499 (around ₹30,500) for the 8GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 2,699 (around ₹32,900) and the 16GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 2,899 (around ₹35,300).

The Neo 5 240W model is priced at CNY 3,199 (around ₹39,000) for the 16GB + 256GB version. Meanwhile, the 16GB + 1TB variant costs CNY 3,499 (around ₹42,600).

The smartphone is available in three colors - White, Black, and Purple. The device is currently available for pre-order and will go on sale in China on February 15, 2023.
