Realme GT 5 Pro Launch in India Confirmed: Could Debut as Early as Q1 2024

The Realme 12 series is arriving in India sometime in January 2024. Ahead of confirming an official launch date for the Realme 12 series in India, the company has revealed a launch timeline for yet another smartphone in the country.

Francis Wong, Head of Product Marketing at Realme recently took to X, formerly Twitter, top replay to a user who enquired about the unveiling of the Realme GT 5 Pro in India.

Realme GT 5 Pro Launch Timeline in India

According to Wong, the Realme GT series will be coming back to India in 2024. While there's no official date, we can expect the Realme GT series to make its comeback in the country in the first quarter of 2024.

To recall, the Realme GT Neo 3T was the last GT series smartphone unveiled in the country back in September 2022. However, the company only recently unveiled a flagship smartphone in China in the form of the Realme GT 5 Pro.

While Wong didn't specify the phone in question, he did reply to a user enquiring about the Realme GT 5 Pro, which suggests that the handset will be unveiled in India in Q1 2024. We also expect the Realme GT 5 Pro to make its global debut in February 2024.

Realme GT 5 Pro Specifications

The Realme GT 5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To further improve performance, the Realme GT 5 Pro also features the largest cooling system in the industry with a surface area of 12000mm2.

The Realme GT 5 Pro sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K Curved LTPO Pro-XDR OLED display from BOE. The panel boasts an adaptive 144Hz refresh rate (0.5Hz - 144Hz) and an instant touch response up to 2160Hz. The screen also boasts TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection 3.0 certification and a whopping 4,500 nits of peak brightness.

For optics, the Realme GT 5 Pro features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Sony LYT808 primary sensor with OIS. The main camera is paired with a 50 MP Sony IMX890 telephoto-periscope shooter with OIS and EIS support and 120x zoom as well as an 8 MP OV08D10 ultrawide lens.

Up front, the Realme GT 5 Pro opts for a 32 MP selfie camera for selfies and videos. The Realme GT 5 Pro packs dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. Lastly, the Realme GT 5 Pro comes in Akaiwa (Orange), Bright Moon (White), and Starry Night (Black) color options.
