Realme GT 5 Pro Launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC to Take on iQOO 12, OnePlus 12 5G
Realme has officially unveiled its first smartphone to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The Realme GT 5 Pro is the latest flagship from the brand and succeeds the Realme GT 2 Pro from 2022.
The Realme GT 5 Pro features a flagship specs sheet with a 120Hz OLED display, a premium build, a large battery with wired and wireless fast charging, and a versatile triple-camera setup. The Realme GT 5 Pro will take on the likes of the Xiaomi 14, Redmi K70 Pro, OnePlus 12 5G, and iQOO 12 5G.

Realme GT 5 Pro Pricing, Availability
The Realme GT 5 Pro price in China starts from CNY 3,399 (roughly Rs 39,850) for the base 12GB/256GB model. The Realme GT 5 Pro is also offered in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 46,900) and CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 50,400), respectively.
As part of an introductory offer, customers will receive a discount of CNY 101 (roughly Rs 1,200) across all three models of the Realme GT 5 Pro. As of now, there is no word on availability of the Realme GT 5 Pro outside China. However, we believe the Realme GT 5 Pro launch date in India will be set for Q1 2024.
Realme GT 5 Pro Specifications
The Realme GT 5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. To further improve performance, the Realme GT 5 Pro also features the largest cooling system in the industry with a surface area of 12000mm2.
The Realme GT 5 Pro sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K Curved LTPO Pro-XDR OLED display from BOE. The panel boasts an adaptive 144Hz refresh rate (0.5Hz - 144Hz) and an instant touch response up to 2160Hz. It also features 2160Hz high frequency PWM dimming. The screen also boasts TÜV Rheinland Eye Protection 3.0 certification and a whopping 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
Realme's latest flagship smartphone also packs a 5,400 mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The Realme GT 5 Pro runs on Android 14 with the Realme UI 5.0 skin on top. The handset also brings AI gesture control, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and Bluetooth 5.4 support.

Realme GT 5 Pro Cameras, Design
For optics, the Realme GT 5 Pro features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Sony LYT808 primary sensor with OIS. The main camera is paired with a 50 MP Sony IMX890 telephoto-periscope shooter with OIS and EIS support and 120x zoom as well as an 8 MP OV08D10 ultrawide lens.
Up front, the Realme GT 5 Pro opts for a 32 MP selfie camera for selfies and videos. The Realme GT 5 Pro packs dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. The phone also features an X-axis linear motor for advanced haptics. It also boasts the same IP64 rating on the OnePlus 12 5G.
Lastly, the Realme GT 5 Pro comes in Akaiwa (Orange), Bright Moon (White), and Starry Night (Black) color options. It is worth noting that only the black variant boasts a glass back panel, while the other two variants feature a vegan leather rear panel.
