Xiaomi 14 Launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Leica Triple Cameras, IP68 Rating

The Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro were recently unveiled as the first smartphones to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. We recently looked at the full Xiaomi 14 Pro specifications and pricing.

Now, let's move on to the vanilla Xiaomi 14. The Xiaomi 14 aims to offer a flagship experience in a compact package with the Snapdragon chip, Leica cameras, C8 AMOLED display, and the new HyperOS software.

Xiaomi 14 Pricing in China

The Xiaomi 14 price in China starts from CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 45,500) for the base 8GB/256GB model. Moreover, the handset also comes in 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 48,950), CNY 4,599 (roughly Rs 52,350) and CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 56,900), respectively.

The Xiaomi 14 comes in Black, Rock Green, White, and Snow Mountain Powder (Pink) color options. The Xiaomi 14 comes with a leather or glass back panel. The Xiaomi 14 is already up for pre-order in China, although international availability is yet to be announced.

Xiaomi 14 Specifications

The Xiaomi 14 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with the Adreno 750 GPU. The phone also comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Xiaomi 14 packs a 4610 mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

The Xiaomi 14 sports a 6.36-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2670x 1200 pixels). The screen boasts an adaptive 120Hz (1Hz - 120Hz) refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The screen supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a 1920Hz PWM dimming. The screen's new C8 luminescent material for enhanced eye protection and an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

The Xiaomi 14 also packs dual-stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The vanilla Xiaomi 14 runs the newest HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box, replacing MIUI. The phone also has a groundbreaking heat dissipation system, using gas-liquid separation channel design.

Xiaomi 14 Cameras

For optics, the Xiaomi 14 gets a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Leica ultra-dynamic main camera that uses a custom Hunter 900 sensor that features an aperture f/1.62, 2.4μm large pixel output, 23mm equivalent focal length, and OIS support.

The main camera is paired with a 50 MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, autofocus, and a 115-degree FOV. Lastly, there's a 50 MP Leica 75mm floating telephoto lens with a 75mm equivalent focal length, and OIS support. The Xiaomi 14 can record 4K video in up to 60fps or 8K video up to 30fps. Lastly, there's a 32 MP selfie snapper up front.

The Xiaomi 14 features an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Xiaomi 14 features Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front and a glossy metal frame.
