iQOO 12, iQOO 12 Pro Launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 144Hz AMOLED Display, 120W Charging

The iQOO 12 series has officially been unveiled in China has the second smartphones to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, following the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.

The line-up includes the iQOO 12 5G and iQOO 12 Pro. Moreover, the iQOO 12 5G is also set to make its debut in India on December 12 and will be the first smartphone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip to arrive in the country.

iQOO 12 Series Pricing, Color Variants

The iQOO 12 price in China starts from CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 46,450) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Moreover, the iQOO 12 also comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 49,900) and CNY 4,699 (roughly Rs 54,550), respectively.

The iQOO 12 Pro price in China starts from CNY 4,999 (roughly Rs 58,050) for the base 16GB/256GB model. Moreover, the iQOO 12 Pro also comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations that will set you back CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs 63,850) and CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs 69,650), respectively.

The iQOO 12 series comes in Burning Way (Red), Track Version (Black), and Legend Edition (White) shades. Additionally, the white model features a BMW Motorsport themed rear panel.

iQOO 12 Specifications

The iQOO 12 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Accompanying the Snapdragon SoC is a dedicated e-sports Q1 chip for an enhanced gaming experience. The handset also has a large vapor chamber and a four-zone cooling system for improved heat dissipation.

The iQOO 12 sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR support. The panel boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz High frequency PWM dimming. Additionally, the screen has a pixel density of 452 PPI and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The iQOO 12 also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

For optics, the iQOO 12 boasts a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP 1/1.3-inch light tracing primary sensor. The main camera is paired with a 50 MP ultrawide lens and a 64 MP periscope-telephoto sensor with an f/2.57 aperture, OIS support, and 100x digital zoom. Up front, there's a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture.

The iQOO 12 runs OriginOS 4 developed based on Android 14. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 7, GPS, a USB Type-C port, and more. The white model of the iQOO 12 boasts a Porcelain enamel textured glass design, while the black model uses a Fluorite AG glass back. Lastly, the red model features a leather finish with a wind imprint texture.

iQOO 12 Pro Specifications

The iQOO 12 Pro shares the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC as the vanilla model with the Q1 e-sports chip. The iQOO 12 Pro boasts the same RAM and storage configurations, although the base variant here also uses 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. It also features the same software and camera system as the vanilla iQOO 12.

The iQOO 12 Pro uses an updated 6.78-inch 2K E7 Curved AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR support. The panel boasts a 144Hz refresh rate and 1440Hz High frequency PWM dimming. Additionally, the screen has a pixel density of 517 PPI and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

The iQOO 12 also packs a 5,100 mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging support. Connectivity options and the design and build of the iQOO 12 Pro is also the same as its vanilla counterpart. However, the iQOO 12 Pro does feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance as compared to an IP64 rating on the iQOO 12.
