Only a couple of days after the launch of the OnePlus 12 5G in China, Realme is now gearing up to unveil a flagship of its own in the country. The Realme GT 5 Pro is arriving later today.

The handset will be the first from Realme to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Leading up to launch, the company confirmed several aspects of the Realme GT 5 Pro.

The Realme GT 5 Pro launch event is taking place later today in China at 02:00 pm local time or 11:30 am IST. The Realme GT 5 Pro is already available for pre-reservation in China.

You can watch the Realme GT 5 Pro event live on the company's official website in China or on its Weibo handle. We expect the Realme GT 5 Pro India launch to take place in the first quarter of 2024.

The pricing of the Realme GT 5 Pro was accidentally leaked by Tmall (first spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav). The Realme GT 5 Pro price in China could start from CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs 41,900) for the base 8GB/128GB model.

Realme GT 5 Pro Specifications

Apart from the Snapdragon chip, the Realme GT 5 Pro will come with up to 24GB of LPPDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Realme has also confirmed that its upcoming flagship will feature a large VC cooling area (12000mm2). The Realme GT 5 Pro will pack a 5,400 mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.

The Realme GT 5 Pro is expected to sport a 6.78-inch OLED display by BOE with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution. The screen also features TÜV Rheinland Global Eye Protection 3.0 and 2160Hz high frequency PWM dimming. The panel is said to feature an in-display fingerprint reader.

Up front, Realme's upcoming flagship is expected to use a 32 MP selfie camera. For optics, the Realme GT 5 Pro features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50 MP Sony IMX890 telephoto-periscope with OIS and EIS support and 120x zoom.

The other two camera sensors will likely be a 50 MP Sony LYT808 primary sensor with OIS and an 8 MP OV08D10 ultrawide lens. The Realme GT 5 Pro will run Android 14-based Realme UI 5.0. Stay tuned to Gizbot about the details about the Realme GT 5 Pro launch in India.
