Realme GT 7 Pro Launch in India Confirmed: Will Debut as First Snapdragon 8 Elite Smartphone in the Country
Qualcomm recently announced its top-end chip, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, for the next generation of flagship smartphones. We already know that Xiaomi, OnePlus, iQOO, Honor, and Realme are all expected to announce smartphones with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC are launching in China in the coming weeks.
However, Realme recently confirmed it would be the first to unveil a smartphone with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in India. The phone in question is the Realme GT 7 Pro and will debut as the company's first flagship in India since the Realme GT 2 Pro in 2022.

Realme GT 7 Pro Launch in India Confirmed
According to an official post, the Realme GT 7 Pro launch date in India is set for November 2024, following its launch in China this month. In its release the company noted the Realme GT 7 Pro will be the First Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship in India, "aiming to make a mark in the high-end Market." To recall, last year's Realme GT 5 Pro was limited to the Chinese market.
The company also confirmed that the Realme GT 7 Pro will go on sale in India through Amazon as well as offline stores following its launch in the country. Realme's official release noted; "This flagship device sets new industry standards for performance, firmly positioning Realme at the forefront of the high-end smartphone market."
Commenting on the news, a Realme spokesperson said, "At Realme, we're committed to being the first to push boundaries and cutting-edge technology to our customers. We couldn't be prouder to be the first brand in India to launch a smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset. The Realme GT 7 Pro isn't just a smartphone, it's a symbol of our continued commitment to being an innovation - first company, offering best-in-class experiences to its users."
Realme GT 7 Pro Specifications (Expected)
The Realme GT 7 Pro with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip was recently spotted on AnTuTu with an overall score of upwards of 3 million points. The chip will be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone will run on Android 15.
It is also expected to feature a Samsung Quad Micro-Curved LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset will also come with an IP69 rating for resistance to dust and water. The Realme GT 7 Pro is also speculated to feature a triple-camera setup with a 50MP (Sony IMX906) primary sensor, a 50MP (Sony IMX882) periscope lens, and an 8MP ultrawide shooter.
The Realme GT 7 Pro could also feature a massive 6,500 mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging support. The phone is also expected to come with an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Stay tuned to Gizbot for the official launch date of the Realme GT 7 Pro in India.
