Redmi 15A 5G India Launch Set for March 27: Key Specs and Design Revealed
Redmi is getting ready to add a new phone to its lineup in India. The company has confirmed that the Redmi 15A 5G will launch on March 27.

Ahead of the launch, a microsite for the phone has gone live on Xiaomi’s India website, and it gives us a clearer idea of what to expect. The brand has also shared a few early teasers, covering the design, colors, and some key features.
Design Looks Familiar, With A Few Tweaks
From what’s been shown so far, the Redmi 15A 5G sticks to a simple design.
It has a flat back with a rectangular camera module that houses two lenses and an LED flash. The branding sits at the bottom-left, which is pretty standard for Redmi phones.
The pink variant stands out a bit with a textured finish, while the Black and Blue options look more understated.
On the front, you’re looking at thick bezels and a waterdrop-style notch. The power button and volume keys are placed on the right side.
Focus On Battery And Smooth Display
Redmi has confirmed a couple of key specs already.
The phone will feature a display with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, which should help with smoother scrolling and general use.
It also packs a 6,300mAh battery, suggesting it’s being positioned as a phone that can comfortably last through a full day of usage.
Camera And Performance Details So Far
On the camera side, the Redmi 15A 5G will include a dual rear setup.
The main camera is confirmed to be a 32-megapixel AI sensor. There’s no detail yet on the second sensor.
As for performance, the phone will run on an octa-core 5G chipset, though Redmi hasn’t shared the exact processor yet.
Where It Fits In Redmi’s Lineup
This phone is expected to sit below the Redmi 15 5G, which launched in India in August last year.
For context, the Redmi 15 5G came with a 7,000mAh battery, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 chipset, and a 6.9-inch display with up to 144Hz refresh rate, starting at ₹14,999.
So the 15A 5G will likely be a more accessible option in the same series.
