Redmi A2 series sale in India kicks off today at 12 pm: Check Price, Specs, Availability
The Xiaomi Redmi A2 series is set to go on sale in India for the first time today. The line-up includes the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+. Both the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ share the same specifications and debut in India's entry-level smartphone segment.
The Xiaomi Redmi A2 series features a MediaTek chipset, dual-camera setups, a large battery, tall display, and the latest software. However, the Redmi A2 Plus also gets a fingerprint reader on the back.

Redmi A2 Series Price in India
The Redmi A2 price in India is set at Rs 5,999 for the base 2GB/32GB variant, while the 2GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB configurations will set you back Rs 6,499 and Rs 7,499, respectively. The Redmi A2 Plus price in India is set at Rs 8,499 for the sole 4GB/64GB model.
The Redmi A2 series is offered in Black, Light Green, and Light Blue shades. The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ will be available for purchase today from Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Xiaomi's retail partners starting 12:00 noon (IST).
Redmi A2 Series Specifications
The Redmi A2 series is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage that is expandable through a microSD card. Additionally, up to 3GB of unused storage can be utilised as Virtual RAM. The Redmi A2 series sports a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD screen with a standard 60Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate.
The water drop notch on the display houses a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, the Redmi A2 series features an 8MP AI dual-camera setup. An LED flash module is also housed inside the camera island. Xiaomi's latest ultra-affordable smartphone packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.
The Redmi A2 series runs the latest stock Android 13. The entry-level Redmi A2 series boasts a sleek leather texture design that is resistant to fingerprint smudges. Additionally, the Redmi A2+ is equipped with a rear fingerprint sensor for quick and secure unlocking.
