Redmi A2 Spotted on Google Play Console Website With MediaTek Helio G36 SoC

The listing also suggests that the Redmi A2 will run on a MediaTek MT6765 or the MediaTek Helio G36 chipset. The chipset comes with a clock speed of 2.3GHz for its four primary cores, and has a clock speed of 1.8GHz for the silver cores. It will have the PowerVR GE8320 GPU.

The certification website also hints that the device will feature the same HD+ display seen on its predecessor, the Redmi A1.

The Redmi A2 is likely to come with 2GB of RAM and boot Android 13.

The website also shared an image of the Redmi A2 at the front. There is not a lot that can be said from the image, except that it has a hole-punch cutout at the center for the front-facing camera.

Redmi A2 Specifications and Features

Previous leaks have suggested that the Redmi A2 will come with a 6.52-inch HD+ display.

For the cameras, it is said to feature a dual camera setup at the back with an 8MP primary camera and another 2MP depth sensor. It is rumored to have a 5MP front camera.

Rumors claim that the device will have a massive 5,000mAh battery with support for 100W charging.

The Redmi A2 has also been spotted on the NBTC, TUV and Bluetooth SIG certification websites previously which suggested that it will support Bluetooth 5.0.

The Bureau of Indian Standard certification listing hinted that the Redmi A2 could launch anytime soon.

Redmi A2 Price and Availability

As mentioned earlier, Redmi hasn't confirmed the slightest detail about the Redmi A2 as yet. However, the listing on the Bureau of Indian Standard certification suggested an imminent launch of the Redmi A2.

So while it was initially rumoured to launch in the latter half of the year, going by the leaks, it might launch sooner.

The Redmi A2 is expected to launch in India and will be a budget-friendly device going by its rumored specifications and its predecessor, the Redmi A1.
