Redmi K30 Massive Leak: Full Specifications, Hands-On Image Revealed

Redmi K30 5G, the next big smartphone from Xiaomi's sub-brand is all set to be launched on December 10. What's interesting is that this device is expected to feature native 5G support. It is believed that the company might also unveil the Redmi K30 Pro alongside this smartphone.

Soon after the official confirmation from the company regarding the launch date of the smartphone, speculations regarding the smartphone and an alleged hands-on image has been leaked. These have come from the Twitter handle of a tipster Shudhanshu Ambhore.

Redmi K30 Specifications

Going by the tweet from the tipster, the Redmi K30 is alleged to arrive with a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display featuring a dual punch-hole design. The screen is believed to have a 120Hz refresh rate, which is seen in the Asus ROG Phone II, which is a gaming smartphone. Notably, the same was suggested by a previous leak as well.

Under its hood, this Redmi smartphone is likely to be fueled by a Snapdragon 730G SoC, which is used by its predecessor, the Redmi K20. This is doubtful as the next-generation model is believed to arrive with an upgraded processor. There are claims that the 5G variant will be fueled by the Snapdragon 735 5G chipset. As the Redmi K30 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 855 SoC, we can expect the Pro variant to arrive with the current flagship chipset.

For imaging, the upcoming smartphone is said to feature a quad-camera setup with the four sensors positioned vertically at the top left. It is said to feature a 60MP Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8MP secondary telephoto sensor, a 13MP tertiary wide-angle lens, and a fourth 2MP sensor. The other goodies hinted by the tipster include a 5000mAh battery 3.5mm headphone jack, IR blaster, and NFC.

In the meantime, another tipster with the username @Xiaomishka has tweeted a hands-on image of what is believed to be the Redmi K30 alongside the Honor V30. This shows that both the smartphones look quite identical with the dual punch-hole selfie camera cutout.

What We Think

When it comes to the pricing, there are speculations that the Redmi K30 5G could be priced starting from 2500 yuan (approx. Rs. 25,000) and the Redmi K30 Pro variant could be priced above 3000 yuan (approx. Rs. 30,000). Though this is yet to be confirmed, it is possible considering the pricing of the Redmi K20 series smartphones.
