Redmi K30 To Use World’s First High-Resolution Camera Sensor, Hints Teaser

With every passing day, reports regarding the Redmi K30 are hitting the web revealing some crucial information. Recently, there was an official confirmation regarding the device but a launch date was not known. Now, further details regarding the device have been teased by the General Manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing.

As per the latest teaser from the company executive, the Redmi K30 is likely to arrive with the "world's first high-resolution image sensor". It adds that further details will be divulged at the launch event.

Redmi K30 Camera Sensor

While there aren't more details regarding the Redmi K30 camera sensor, there are expectations that it could arrive with the new Sony IMX686 sensor. This sensor is said to feature 60MP resolution. Besides this, previous reports showing the hands-on images and renders of the smartphone and the official teasers from the company have confirmed the presence of dual punch-hole cutout for the two selfie camera sensors.

Earlier this week, we came across another report hinting that the Redmi K30 will arrive with a dual-mode 5G support, including both NSA and SA modes. If this is something to go by, then the Redmi smartphone in question will be the first one to support 5G from the brand.

Redmi K30: Rumored Specifications

As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding the launch date of the upcoming Redmi smartphone. However, there are speculations that the Redmi K30 could be unveiled on December 10. And, speculations suggest that the smartphone could arrive with a 6.66-inch display with a FHD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.

The Redmi K30 is likely to flaunt a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 120Hz display in the Pro variant for smooth gameplay and other a 90Hz display in the standard variant. It is said to run Android 10 topped with MIUI 11. The hardware aspects are likely to include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 series processor with support for dual-mode 5G and Adreno 618 GPU.

What We Think

If these speculations turn out to be authentic, then the first 5G smartphone from Redmi will arrive with promising specifications and features. It will be one of the best offerings in its price bracket. However, we are yet to wait for an official confirmation regarding its pricing, specs, and availability.
