Redmi K70 Ultra with MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC, D1 Chip, 144Hz OLED Display Launched

Xiaomi has officially unveiled a new smartphone in its Redmi K series line-up. The Redmi K70 Ultra made its debut in China alongside the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and newly unveiled Mix Flip.

The Redmi K70 Ultra arrives with a special discrete graphics 12nm D1 chip to help push frame rates to match the display's 144Hz refresh rate at 1.5K resolution. Here's an in-depth look at the Redmi K70 Ultra.

Redmi K70 Ultra Pricing, Color Options

The Redmi K70 Ultra price in China is set at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs 29,950) for the 12GB/256GB model. The Redmi K70 Ultra also comes in 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB variants that cost CNY 2,899 (roughly Rs 33,400), CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs 36,850), and CNY 3,599 (roughly Rs 41,450), respectively.

The Redmi K70 Ultra is offered in Ink Feather Black, Clear Snow White, and Ice Blue shades. The Redmi K70 Ultra Champion Edition is priced at CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 46,050) for the sole 24GB/1TB variant. This special edition model was designed in collaboration with Lamborghini.

The Redmi K70 Ultra is powered by MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9300+ chipset, based on the 4nm process. Xiaomi has paired this chip with its proprietary Pengpai T1 signal enhancement chip, promising a 12% boost in WiFi performance, a 20% improvement in GPS performance, and a significant 58% increase in 5G WiFi signal strength.

The phone also comes with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The K70 Ultra includes a Surge P2 chipset for fast charging, a G1 chip for power management, and a D1 chip that functions as an independent display processor. The device is equipped with a substantial 5,500mAh battery, supporting 120W wired fast charging.

On the front, the K70 Ultra sports a tall 6.67-inch OLED display, co-developed with TCL, that delivers a 1.5K resolution, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, a 144Hz refresh rate, a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and an impressive 4000 nits of peak brightness. Xiaomi promises industry-leading eye protection in low-light conditions, thanks to 3840Hz PWM dimming.

For optics, the Redmi K70 Ultra features a 50 MP Sony IMX906 primary sensor with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide lens and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, the K70 Ultra opts for a 20 MP selfie camera. The Redmi K70 Ultra comes with an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water. It feature glass protection on the back and front as well as a metal frame.
