Redmi Note 12 Turbo “Harry Potter” Edition Teased: 5G Android Smartphone To Include Goodies?

Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G today in China. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has teased a special "Harry Potter" edition of the Android smartphone.

As the name indicates, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo "Harry Potter" edition is a custom version of the smartphone. The smartphone will have images taken from the hugely-popular Harry Potter series. The custom edition of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G will likely launch soon after the smartphone's launch in China.

Smartphone companies have been actively collaborating with popular brands and studios to create and sell custom editions of their smartphones. Recently, Realme collaborated with Coca-Cola to offer the "Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola" smartphone.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo "Harry Potter" Edition smartphone is similar to the Infinix Note 12 Turbo Doctor Strange Edition in that both smartphones are based on popular movie franchises.

Such special editions of smartphones tied to popular movies offer fans a chance to own a piece of memorabilia related to their favorite films and characters. Alternatively, such products allow smartphone manufacturers to market their products better.

The limited-edition Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter smartphone package will include Hogwart's wizard robes, custom embroidered scarves, magic wands, and famous souvenirs such as the Harry Potter admission letter and 9¾ card pins.

On the software front, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo "Harry Potter" edition smartphone may include customized themes, icon packs, ringtones, and notification sounds.

Beneath all the branding, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo Harry Potter edition smartphone is the standard Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G. Besides the custom packaging and the branded merchandise, buyers will likely receive a custom back panel or case.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G is yet to launch, but Xiaomi has revealed most of the specifications and features of the Android smartphone. It features a 6.67-inch 12-bit Full HD+ OLED display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. The powerful SoC has been paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

Xiaomi has embedded a 64MP OIS-enabled camera on the back as a part of a triple camera setup. Xiaomi is offering Xiaomi Imaging Engine 2.0 for enhanced image processing.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G packs a 5000mAh battery which will support 67W wired fast charging. The phone has a 3725mm vapor chamber cooling system that improves heat dissipation by 35 percent.
