Redmi Note 12S Production Begins in European and Eurasian Markets: Report

The production of the Redmi Note 12S has already commenced in European and Eurasian regions, according to tipster Mukul Sharma. The tipster adds that the smartphone will launch in the next couple of months. The device was also recently spotted on the FCC certification site, strengthening rumors of an imminent launch.

The Redmi Note 12 series includes the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and the Note 12 Pro+ 5G, and all three phones will launch globally on March 23. Meanwhile, the Note 12S will likely debut later in March or in April.

Redmi Note 12S Expected Features

According to reports, the Redmi Note 12S could arrive as a slightly rebadged version of its predecessor, the Redmi Note 11S. A recent FCC listing reveals that the Note 12S, bearing the model number 2303CRA44A, will support 67W fast charging. To compare, the Note 11S features 33W charging.

The images listed on the FCC database reveal a centered punch-hole cutout at the top of the phone, which will house the selfie camera. In addition, the display features narrow bezels, with the volume and power button on the right-hand side. There's also a 3.5mm audio jack, a speaker grille, and an IR blaster.

According to rumors, the Redmi Note 12S could sport a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. The smartphone could be powered by a MediaTek Helio H96 processor. It could be accompanied by up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 128GB internal storage.

Moving on to imaging, the upcoming smartphone could feature a quad camera setup at the rear. The camera array could be headlined by a 108MP primary sensor. Details about the other sensors aren't known.

As for the battery, the Redmi Note 12S could pack a 5,000mAh unit with 67W fast charging support. We can expect the device to boot Android 12-based MIUI 14 out of the box.
