Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro Sold Out Within Minutes; Next Sale On October 25
Xiaomi recently launched its Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro in India. Both smartphones went on sale via Amazon India on October 21. Now, the company has confirmed that both the smartphones were sold out in a fraction of minutes in its first sale. The company confirmed that 1.5 million Indian consumers have attempted to purchase the phone on the first sale. However, Xiaomi didn't reveal the numbers of units sold.

Both smartphones were again on sale today on Amazon and mi.com and all the units were sold out within seconds. In the Twitter post, the company has mentioned that the next sale is on October 25. The company is also selling these smartphones through its Mi Home Stores.
To recall, the Redmi Note 8 comes with 6.39-inch full HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 665 SoC, clubbed with 6GB of RAM. On the optical front, the smartphone offers a quad-camera setup with the combination of 48MP primary camera + 8MP 120° ultra-wide + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro lens, along with an LED flash. Upfront, it houses a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls. The Redmi Note 8 is fuelled by a 4,000 mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie.
Meanwhile, the Note 8 Pro flaunts a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with a dewdrop notch. The smartphone is juiced by a MediaTek Helio G90T SoC, clubbed with up to 8GB RAM.
The smartphone houses a quad-camera setup aligned as 64MP primary sensor + 8MP 120° ultra-wide + 2MP depth sensor + 2MP macro sensor. The selfie camera comes with a 20MP camera sensor. The Redmi Note 8 Pro packs a 4,500 mAh battery and runs Android 9 pie.
