The new iteration of the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be made available on Amazon, Mi.com, and Mi Homes, starting from November 29 and will cost Rs. 14,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Features And Specifications

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is currently the flagship Redmi Note from the brand powered by the MediaTek Helio G90T SoC with 6/8GB RAM and 64/128GB onboard storage. Unlike most of the mobile processors, the Helio G90T designed to offer improved GPU performance that results in better gaming performance. The MIUI 10 software is based on Android 9 Pie and the device is set to receive MIUI 11 update in the coming days.

The device bestows a 6.53-inch IPS LCD screen with a tiny water-drop notch at the top of the display. The screen offers FHD+ resolution and is protected by the 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The gorgeous FHD+ display on the Redmi Note 8 Pro takes full advantage of the intutive lockscreen service- Glance. The display allows you to consume rich multimedia content pushed on the phone's lockscreen eveytime you press the power button to lock/unlock the device.

You can customize the Glance lockscreen service to view content from a variety of interesting categories such as sports, entertainment, travel, fitness, technology and many more. Glance presents the multimedia content in rich format (text, animation, videos, etc.) that makes the Redmi Note 8 Pro's display livelier than before for multimedia consumption.

The quad-camera setup at the back of the phone is another highlight of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It has a 64MP primary sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide angle, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone offers a 20MP selfie camera with support for face unlock.

A 4,500 mAh battery runs the show with support for 27W Sonic charing. However, the retail box does not include a 27W charger and it does cost Rs. 999 and will be available online on Amazon and Mi.com.

Should You Buy?

If you are planning to get the Redmi Note 8 Pro, then the newly launched Electric Blue edition does look good with a gradient back panel. However, I personally fancy the Gamma Green variant of the Redmi Note 8 Pro.
