Just like the standard model, the Note 8 Pro uses 256GB UFS 2.1 storage with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. Unlike the Indian version, the Chinese Redmi Note 8 Pro does not have a dedicated microSD card slot. The remaining specifications of the Redmi Note 8 Pro are kept intact. MediaTek's most powerful chipset -- the Helio G90T SoC powers the smartphone with liquid cooling technology to decrease the thermal throttling. The phone currently runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 skin on top. In the coming days, the phone will be updated to MIUI 11 based on Android 10 OS.

The quad-camera setup at the back of the device consists of a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Plus, the phone also has a 20MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens at the front.

The device also gets a bigger 4,500 mAh battery with a USB Type-C port that supports 27W fast charging and the device does retain the 3.5mm headphone jack.
