Redmi Turbo 4 Pro With Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Teased for April Launch, Likely to Arrive as Poco F7 in India
Redmi is quietly ramping up buzz around its upcoming Turbo 4 Pro smartphone, which could be one of the first devices to feature Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
While an official launch date hasn't been confirmed, a cryptic Weibo comment by Redmi's General Manager Wang Teng Thomas suggests the phone may drop as early as this month.

Launch Hints from Redmi's Top Executive
Wang Teng Thomas recently posted about the performance and power efficiency of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, praising it as a balanced chipset for high-performance smartphones. When asked by a Weibo user if the new Redmi device powered by this chip would launch in April, Thomas simply responded with "can"-a short but suggestive nod to an imminent release.
This casual confirmation hints that Redmi's Turbo 4 Pro could hit shelves before the month wraps up, despite previous rumors pointing to potential delays following a tragic Xiaomi SU7 accident that had raised concerns across the tech community.
What We Know About the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro-So Far
Though not officially confirmed, several leaks have sketched out a fairly complete picture of what the Turbo 4 Pro might bring. It's expected to sport a 6.83-inch OLED LTPS display with a 1.5K resolution and an ultra-slim design. The heart of the phone will likely be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which targets users looking for top-tier performance without the typical battery drain.
Powering the phone could be a 7,550mAh battery, backed by 90W fast charging support. The camera setup is rumored to include a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. Other expected features include an in-screen optical fingerprint scanner, a metal mid-frame, and a high durability rating with IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance.
A Possible Poco F7 Rebrand
The Indian market may see this device under a different name. A Poco-branded model-likely the Poco F7-was recently spotted in a BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) listing with the model number 25053PC47I. This aligns with earlier reports that Poco's next F-series phone could essentially be a rebranded Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, perhaps with slight tweaks for the local market.
If that turns out to be accurate, Indian consumers could get access to the same set of powerful specs, including the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, large battery, fast charging, dual rear cameras, and premium build features.
