Samsung Galaxy A24 Specs Leak: 6.5-Inch S-AMOLED Display, SD680 SoC Tipped

Samsung has been aggressively expanding its midrange Android smartphone portfolio. After launching the Samsung Galaxy A34 and the Samsung Galaxy A54 smartphones last week, the South Korean tech giant recently confirmed it would launch Samsung Galaxy A24.

As the name implies, the Samsung Galaxy A24 is positioned below the Galaxy A34. While Samsung has merely acknowledged the existence of the smartphone, the specifications of the device have already leaked. Let's take a look at the leaked specifications and features of the Samsung Galaxy A24.

The Samsung Galaxy A23 was launched last year. The Galaxy A24 is technically its successor, but Samsung has essentially made a few cosmetic upgrades while retaining the core hardware.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 has the same design and external aesthetics as that of the other Galaxy A series smartphones that launched recently. However, under the hood, the upcoming smartphone is reportedly packing the 6nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, which powers the Galaxy A23 as well.

The Snapdragon 680 chipset inside the Galaxy A24 will be paired with Adreno 610 GPU. There appears to be just a single variant of the Samsung smartphone with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Buyers can insert a microSD card of up to 1TB capacity to expand onboard storage.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 is tipped to feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-V display. The 1080p screen should have a 90Hz refresh rate.

The upcoming mid-range Android smartphone is rumored to pack a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture with OIS. It should be accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and an LED flash. There's a 13MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Samsung has reportedly embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Samsung Galaxy A24, which supports 25W wired fast charging. Some of the notable connectivity features of the Samsung smartphone should include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, and GPS + GLONASS. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy A24 should run Android 13 with Samsung One UI 5.0. Samsung has indicated it will offer two major Android updates for the Galaxy A series smartphones. The same should apply to this smartphone as well.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 will be available in Black, Silver, Red-Burgundy, and Lime colors. Samsung has confirmed that it will launch the Galaxy A24 in Turkey in the coming months.
