After having launched the Samsung J5 and J7 in India, the Korean electronics giant is in process of launching a budget device in the county - the Galaxy J1 Mini. Recently another budget J series device dubbed the Galaxy J3 was launched in China.
As per reports the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini is a smaller and lower end version of the original J1. The device was spotted on a GFXBench earlier today. The budget device from Samsung is reported to sport a 4.3 inch (800x480p) display, 1.5GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC8830 SoC coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Reports further state that Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini will come with a 5MP and 0.3MP (VGA) rear and front cameras respectively. Furthermore the benchmark listing show the J1 Mini running on Android Lollipop 5.1.1.
The Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini was also spotted in Zauba listing which shows the record of four devices being imported into India for testing purposes. However unlike the GFXBench listing the Zauba listing state that the alleged device SMJ105F aka. Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini comes with a 4 inch display. Going by the fact that GFXBench listings had went wrong many a times before, it would be wise to safe to infer that the Samsung J1 Mini will come with a smaller 4 inch display.
The Zauba listing state the Samsung Galaxy J1 Mini costs around Rs 3,368 ($52 approx.) However it's worth noting that the actual device won't be priced the same when launched commercially as import taxes, logistics duties will be levied on it.
Nevertheless a Zauba listing of a device confirms the fact that Samsung will soon launch the Galaxy J1 in India.
