Samsung Galaxy J3 with 5 inch Super AMOLED display and 4G LTE is now official

    After having passed TENAA certification earlier this month the Samsung J3 (SM-J3109Z) was finally spotted on the company's Chinese website. It is however being called with a slightly different name - Samsung J3 ⑥.

    As compared to the Samsung Galaxy J2 sporting a 4.7 inch qHD AMOLED screen that was recently launched in India, the Galaxy J3 comes with a 5 inch HD Super AMOLED one. In terms of design the Samsung J3 is made entirely of polycarbonate and looks rather similar to the likes of the J series phones which was previously launched in India including the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7.

    The Samsung Galaxy J3 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad core SoC coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. In terms of storage there is 8GB of onboard memory along with option for memory expansion upto 128GB via MicroSD card. As seen in previous budget phones from Samsung the Galaxy J3 sports an 8MP rear and 5MP front camera. The rear camera utilizes an f/2.2 aperture and is equipped with a LED Flash. Other connectivity features include 4G LTE support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and A-GPS.

    The J series smartphone is powered by a 2600mAh removable Li-Ion battery. Furthermore the Samsung Galaxy J3 measures a t 142.3mm x 71 x 7.99mm and weighs at 138g as per company statement. It runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with the company's TouchWiz UI on top.

    The Samsung Galaxy J3 which is exclusively available in China at present comes in three color variants - White, Black and Gold. However it's worth mentioning that the Dual SIM smartphone launched is for China Telecom Network bands with supports FDD LTE bands - B1, B3, B7 and TDD LTE B41. The price of the smartphone however is still unknown.
