Samsung Galaxy M55 5G Expected Price in India

The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is tipped to come with a starting price of Rs 26,999 for the base 8GB/128GB model, while the 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB variants of the Galaxy M55 will cost Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999, respectively.

Samsung Galaxy M55 5G: Better Than Galaxy M54?

Starting with the design, the Galaxy M55 5G retains an identical design to the Galaxy M54 5G. Samsung has used the SD 7 Gen 1 for the successor instead of the in-house Exynos 1380 featured on the Galaxy M54.

The Galaxy M55 packs a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging for the first time in the M series, while the Galaxy M54 supports 25W charging. However, you need to purchase the adapter separately for both models as they do not come with a charger in the box.

On the software front, the Galaxy M55 5G runs on Android 14 with Samsung One UI 6.1. Samsung has replaced the 32MP selfie camera with a 50MP sensor on the Galaxy M55 5G. At the rear, the latest model comes with a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

In contrast, the Galaxy M54 5G has a 108MP main lens with OIS support at the rear panel. The display size and refresh rate of the successor remain the same as the predecessor. However, the Galaxy M55 5G is touted to be one of the slimmest Galaxy M-series phones to date, measuring 7.8mm in size and weighing 180 grams.

Notably, Samsung did not launch the Galaxy M54 5G in India. The upcoming Galaxy M55 5G will be the next entrant after the Galaxy M53 in the country. The launch date is yet to be announced. We expect it could take place in the first week of April.
