It looks like a high level of interest prevails for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in India. Notably, the Galaxy Note 7 broke the record when it comes to the pre-orders last year but it turned out to be a huge jerk for the company.
As per a recent report from IANs, more than 2.5 lakh people in the country have registered for the Note 8. The report claims that nearly 1.5 lakh people have pre-registered for the handset on the online retailer Amazon India. Of this number, around 72,000 have shown their interest for the Note 8 on the very first day when the pre-registrations were open. Besides these registrations on Amazon, almost 1 lakh people have registered for the flagship device on the Samsung India website as well.
Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 8 tomorrow in India. Samsung has also sent out media invites for the launch event of the device that is to take place in Delhi at 12:30 PM. The event will be live streamed for all the Samsung fans from the official site of the company. Given that the launch will happen on September 12, the device is said to go on sale on September 25 in the country but there is no official confirmation regarding the release date.
The Galaxy Note 8 managed to grab the interest of consumers not only in India but also in the other markets. Going by the recent reports, almost 3.95 lakh units of the device were booked in one day in South Korea. Also, 5.5 lakh pre-registrations have been recorded in two days. Even in the U.S., Samsung has claimed to have created a new record in terms of pre-order. Over there, the sale will debut on September 15.
According to the company, based on the pre-order stats, the 64GB storage variant of the Note 8 is more popular among the consumers than the 128GB and 256GB variants. In terms of colors, the most popular one is the Deep Sea Blue variant. Going by the predictions of the analysts, the Note 8 will reach one million units of pre-orders before the same will be closed on September 21.
