Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra With SD8 G3 Only For All Markets: Why Avoiding Exynos 2400?
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series smartphones are expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Samsung Exynos 2400, except for the top-most model.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset no matter the region in which it will be sold. The same isn't the case with the other Samsung Galaxy S24 series devices, which should include the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus.

Customized And Overclocked "Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy" To Power The S24 Ultra In All Regions?
Samsung has reportedly managed to procure a special "Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy" chipset, which should be slightly overclocked than the regular version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
Recent leaks have indicated the customized Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy will feature a single Prime Performance Cortex-X4 core, clocked at 3.30GHz. There would be three High-Performance Cortex-A720 cores, clocked at 3.15GHz.
The custom version is tipped to have two Performance-oriented Cortex-A710 cores clocked at 2.96GHz, and two Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 2.27GHz. Just like the regular version, the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 should be paired with the Adreno 750 GPU.
Why Is Samsung Staying Away From Its Own Flagship Exynos 2400?
Samsung has been manufacturing two variants of its premium and flagship Android smartphones belonging to the Samsung Galaxy S series. The South Korean tech giant plans distribution of these devices according to its preferred markets.
While some regions get the Samsung Galaxy S series smartphones with the commonly preferred flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, others have to contend with the Samsung Exynos SoC. While Samsung's own chipset is a tough competitor for the "top-performing chipset" crown, it is not as popular or as demanded as the Snapdragon chipset.
Moreover, owing to its popularity, Android OS and app developers have traditionally optimized their software for the Snapdragon chipset. Although this is rapidly changing, it is largely favoring the MediaTek chipsets in the Helio and Dimensity series.
Considering the situation, Samsung may have chosen to build its top-end Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra only with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This decision could help the sales of this premium smartphone across the world as buyers who prefer such devices won't have to worry about which chipset they will get.
The base variant of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra could pack 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which could be ignored, as such RAM sizes and storage capacity have trickled down to budget smartphones. The top-end variant of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra could feature 16GB RAM and 2TB of internal storage, which would be double than Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
