Samsung Galaxy S25 128GB Variant Could Launch in India Soon at ₹74,999—Here’s What to Expect
Samsung's Galaxy S25 series has already made waves following its global and India launch at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event on January 22. While the company initially introduced only the 256GB and 512GB models in India, a fresh report suggests that a 128GB variant could soon hit the market, offering a more affordable entry point for buyers.

A More Affordable Galaxy S25 Variant for India
According to a report from 91Mobiles Hindi, Samsung is preparing to introduce a 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy S25 in India at a price of Rs. 74,999. This would put it on par with the launch price of the Galaxy S24's base model from last year, making it a compelling option for users who don't need extra storage but still want flagship performance.
However, the availability of this variant remains uncertain. As of now, the 128GB model is not listed on Samsung India's official website, and reports suggest it might be sold exclusively through offline retail channels. Meanwhile, in markets like the United States, the Galaxy S25 128GB version is already available at $799 (approximately Rs. 69,100).
Samsung Galaxy S25: Key Features and Specs
Despite the lower storage capacity, the 128GB variant retains the core hardware and features of its higher-storage counterparts. The Galaxy S25 comes with a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, boasting a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive 2,600-nit peak brightness for enhanced visibility.
Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, ensuring top-tier performance. Importantly, even the 128GB variant includes 12GB of RAM, as per the leak.
In the camera department, the Galaxy S25 features a triple-lens setup, including:
- 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and 2x in-sensor zoom
- 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 120-degree field of view
- 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS
- 12MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls
The device packs a 4,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging support (though the charger is sold separately). It runs on Android 15-based One UI 7, bringing Samsung's latest software enhancements.
Why Samsung's 128GB Model Matters for the Indian Market
Samsung's decision to introduce a 128GB model specifically in India could be a strategic move aimed at price-conscious buyers who want a premium experience without paying extra for storage they may not use. With a Rs. 6,000 price difference between the 128GB (Rs. 74,999) and 256GB (Rs. 80,999) models, buyers now have a more affordable way to access Samsung's latest flagship.
While it remains unclear whether Samsung will bring this variant to other markets, leaks indicate that it will be released later than the 256GB and 512GB versions, which are set to go on sale in India on February 4.
For now, Samsung has not officially confirmed this variant, and its availability will depend on demand and retail partnerships.
