Now, a new report from Korea's SEDaily reveals that the phone will be officially unveiled on April 16, 2025, with sales beginning in May-but with a surprisingly low production volume.

A Niche Device With Limited Supply

Samsung is reportedly producing just 40,000 units of the Galaxy S25 Edge in its initial run. That's an extremely low number for a flagship smartphone, representing only 0.1% of Samsung's monthly premium phone production. This suggests that the company isn't expecting massive demand-or perhaps it's testing the waters before committing to a broader release.

The device will be available in three color options: Black, Blue, and Silver. While pricing details remain unclear, reports indicate that the S25 Edge will cost more than the Galaxy S25 but less than the S25 Ultra.

Slimmer Design, But at a Cost

What sets the Galaxy S25 Edge apart is its ultra-thin design, making it slimmer than the standard Galaxy S25+. However, this sleek form factor comes with trade-offs. Samsung has reduced the rear camera setup to just two sensors instead of three:

The biggest compromise could be battery capacity, which may be smaller to accommodate the phone's thin profile. While this might limit all-day power, it could appeal to users who prioritize design over battery life.

Samsung isn't cutting corners on performance. Reports suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 12GB of RAM. This means users can expect top-tier speed and efficiency, even if the phone is positioned as a design-focused alternative to Samsung's other flagships.
