Samsung Begins Rolling Out Third One UI 8 Beta for Galaxy S25 Series: Here’s What’s Changed

Samsung started rolling out the third beta update of One UI 8 to Galaxy S25 series users yesterday (June 30) across multiple regions, including India, the UK, Germany, and South Korea. Beta testers in the US and Poland are expected to receive the update shortly.

While the update doesn’t bring major new features, it focuses heavily on stability improvements and bug fixes as Samsung inches closer to a possible stable release.

What’s Been Fixed in This Update

The update weighs approximately 1.2GB and addresses several usability issues reported by early testers. These fixes aim to smooth out the user experience, especially around text input and system navigation.

Here are some of the confirmed changes:

• The status bar overlapping issue when switching between recent apps has been fixed.
• A bug where the keyboard would auto-type after rebooting into the Secure Folder PIN screen has been resolved.
• Swipe gesture input errors have been addressed, making typing more predictable.
• For S25 Ultra users, issues with S Pen input lag during text entry are no longer present.
• The long delay when opening the Modes and Routines menu has also been reduced.

The changelog mentions broader performance optimizations, though these remain unspecified.

Is This the Final Beta Before Stable Release?

While there’s no official word from Samsung, it’s widely speculated that this could be the last beta build before One UI 8 rolls out in its final form. The timing aligns with the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 launch, which could mark the official debut of the new software version.

Still, if additional issues emerge, Samsung may push another beta revision. Nothing is confirmed yet.
